In short
Arvenko collects information about your activity on this website to understand how you use it. We also collect what you send through the contact form to respond to your enquiry. Our service providers – Cloudflare and Google – may handle some of this information outside Australia.
About this policy
This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit arvenko.com or contact us, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (opens in a new tab). It doesn't cover other websites we link to.
What we collect and why
Contact form: When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, organisation (if you provide it) and message to keep a record of your enquiry and respond to it. You don't have to give your real name, though we do need a working email address to reply.
Website activity: We use Google Analytics to understand how you use the website. It sets cookies on your device and records the pages you view and how you interact with them (such as following links to other websites and sending an enquiry), how you found the website, your approximate location and the type of browser and device you're using.
Website delivery: We use Cloudflare to host and deliver the website. In doing so, it receives your IP address and details of your browser and device, which it uses to keep the website secure and to check that your contact form submission comes from a person rather than a bot.
How we store and share it
Your enquiry isn't stored on the website. It's emailed to us through Cloudflare and kept in our Google-hosted email as a business record for as long as we need it.
We share your information with Cloudflare and Google only so they can provide the services described above. We don't disclose it to anyone else unless you agree or the law requires or allows it. Cloudflare and Google operate servers in many countries including the United States, so your information may be handled outside Australia. For details, see Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and how Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab).
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption and restricting who can access it.
Your cookie choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser without affecting how the website works. To stop Google Analytics collecting data on any website you visit, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
Seeing and correcting your information
To see or correct the personal information we hold about you, email privacy@arvenko.com. We may need to verify your identity first. There's no charge to make a request or to correct your information. We may charge a reasonable fee to give you a copy of your information, though we'll tell you before going ahead. If we refuse a request, we'll explain why.
Making a complaint
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, email privacy@arvenko.com. We'll investigate your complaint and let you know the outcome. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). See how to make a privacy complaint (opens in a new tab).
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy if our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
